Attorney Profiles

Background:
Ms. Akopyan received her B.A. in Sociology with honors from UCLA in 2001 and her JD from Southwestern University School of Law in 2004, where she served as a student mentor to the incoming class.  Ms. Akopyan worked as an associate with the Haglund Law Group and Keith A. Fink & Associates before joining the Brown Gitt Law Group in 2006.   Ms. Akopyan has extensive experience in employment advice and in employment litigation representing employers and management.

Ms. Akopyan's Labor & Employment experience includes counseling and litigation. She has drafted and updated employee handbooks and policies and procedures and counseled employers by way of an EPLI hotline. Ms. Akopyan also has considerable experience in business litigation, legal malpractice litigation.

Ms. Akopyan was named a "Southern California Rising Star" in 2007, 2008 and 2010 by Law & Politics Magazine and Los Angeles Magazine.

Trial Experience:
Ms. Akopyan has second chaired an important trial, where her efforts led to the dismissal of nearly all of the plaintiff's claims on the date of trial.
